As the summer months approach and Park Day Summer Arts Camp gears up into full swing, we would like to ask you
for your support in donating miscellaneous items which you might otherwise throw away or donate elsewhere. The items
we could use will be used in a variety of visual and performing arts projects. They need not be in working order or in
complete sets. Clothing, fabric or cloth materials should be clean and without any mildew or strong offending smells.
Our "wish list" includes:
- Nylon stockings
- Fabric and notions: lace, yarn, nylon, burlap, bedsheets, nylon stockings
- Gardening tools: rakes, trowels, shovels, latticework, etc.
- Broken electronic equipment: clocks, radios, turntables, tape recorders, VCRs, receivers, telephones, computer hard
drives
- Artificial flowers and plants: dried, silk, or plastic
- Toys and games: in usable shape or in parts and pieces, dice, dominoes, etc.
- Costume jewelry: whole pieces or broken bits
- Small odd shaped pieces of wood
- Old picture frames & mats
- Canvas paintings
- Musical instruments
- Clean carpet remnants or sections
- Sewing machine (preferably working or serviceable)
- Natural materials: sea shells, polished stones, driftwood, etc.
- Wall paper samples & left over rolls
- Fancy and decorative paper or leather pieces/scraps
- Small container boxes (plastic, wood, cardboard)
- Small plastic toys (parts of toys) or game pieces, plastic dolls and parts, plastic model pieces or kits
- Color coated wire (the stiff kind: 16 - 22 gauge)
- Old picture calenders and posters
- Old art books and art magazines
- Working Macintosh computers (especially iMacs) would be greatly appreciated!
As you get into cleaning, instead of throwing out unwanted items consider recycling those items
one more time! You may drop any of these items off at camp during regular hours or call Moses at (510) 653-5718
for pick-up service.
